Now in its fourth year, the Colloquium is a set of convening conversations offering an opportunity to talk together and learn about timely and significant topics at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and in the field of higher education that influence our mission and experiences.
As we look forward to the 2026-27 academic year, this newsletter is intended to briefly preview institutional initiatives in the upcoming year. We will continue to work on these initiatives with the Executive Council of the faculty, the Staff Council, and/or the Student Government Association through our shared governance processes and look forward to our work together.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ will welcome Antionette Priscilla Carroll as the 2026 Social Innovator in Residence, bringing a nationally recognized leader in equity-centered design to campus for a fall 2026 residency focused on trust, community agency, and sustainable systems change.
It is with deep sadness that I share news of the passing of Sam Harris ’58, a member of our alumni family whose life and legacy have left a lasting mark on ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and in the world.
Spring break comes with the generative possibility of respite, discovery, connection, and renewal for each of you, and I hope that it is a restorative time for all of you. When we gather again, I invite you to a Legislative Update on Wednesday, March 25 from noon to 1 p.m. in the HSSC Auditorium.
